Hey guys I'm not looking for the whole Mac vs Pc turf war here, I'm well aware that I can get a much better deal with better specs if I go with pc however I'm just sick of all the problems that come with getting a huge gaming pc (with a huge stack sitting under the dest sort of deal). Anyway to get on with it, I'm just looking into if someone could provide any feedback on a 27-inch imac (late 2013) running a GTX 780m (4gb gddr5) and a 3.5-3.9 GHz core i7 Processor with 16gbs of RAM and a 3TB sata3 drive, I wanna run stuff like ARMA 3, Battlefield 4, Rust and other games of similar intensity at maximum possible graphics. I'm just hopping for a non-bias opinion/ first hand info from someone who owns one. Thanks.

Once a upon a time gaming on a Mac just didn't make sense, but today it's easily possible with BootCamp like barto mentioned before me. Your GPU is pretty strong but since it's a mobile version, it won't be as powerful as a desktop variant. Looking at the benchmarks, it can run BF4 at 40 fps on 1080p Ultra and other recent titles similarly. If you are content with that performance for now and down the road, then I would recommend you go ahead with an iMac.

However, the downside to this will be that you can't upgrade your GPU or CPU if you wanted to run future games at their maximum graphics settings. Intstead, you'll have to buy a new computer.

Bottom line: It's good for now, limited upgrade options later.
