Hi guys, thought it might be a good idea to get some advice before I start purchasing components for my new rig. It is my first proper build, but I've done a fair bit of research and have a budget of £1000.

Components I think would be good for me:
Intel i5 4670K
Gigabyte G1.SNIPER Z87 Motherboard
Corsair Hydro Series H100i
NZXT H440 Mid Tower Case
Corsair 16GB DDR3 2400Mhz
Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 780

I currently have a Corsair TX650W power supply and wonder if this would be sufficient? Also I've been told to wait for prices to drop before buying the gpu as the new Maxwell series is just being released, how long should I wait before buying? And lastly, the H440 case is silent, would heat still be an issue even though I'm running the H100i and the GTX 780 which blows heat out the back of the case?

Sorry for the post being this long, but any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Can't comment on the Sniper as there are 4 models between $145 and $400 ...

At $300.... the Asus Maximus VI Formula would be my choice...
At $220 ... the Asus Maximus Gene
At $175-$200 ... the MSI GD-65
At $150 ... the MSI G45

4670k is a solid gaming CPU....

H100i is a noise machine ... suggest you go air cooling with a Phanteks PH-TC14-PE or go to a H110 .... but again the H110 can't do anything cooling wise that a Phanteks or Noctua DH14 can't do. Watch .... er listen to .... the H100i video here .... By the 1:15 mark in the video (55% CPU load), I gotta leave the room...too dang noisy.

Of course if you are considering liquid cooling ....I'd look at the Swiftech or XSPC kits ar even a custom loop, especially if a 2nd 780 may be in the cards fir the future.

I don't agree that anything over 1600 is a waste especially when 1866 and 2133 is close to same price. 2400 is a small premium which is what I am currently buying for most builds. The Mushkin Redline's have better timings at 10-12-12-28 as compared to the Corsair Vengeance at 10-12-12-31

As for which 780....if ya not gonna spring for the MSI Lightning or EVGA Classified, I'd recommend in the following order....

Asus 780 DCII
MSI N Gaming Series / Twin Frozr
Gigabyte Windforce

The 440 is a very nice case even if I can't agree with the exuberance of the users doing the newegg reviews. For $139, I think I'd have to go with the Enthoo Luxe. The H440 has a great feature set but the Luxe has that and more

With the H100, it's not gonna fit at the rear of the case, you'll have to use the top.

As for the PSU, nVidia calls for a 600 watts PSU .... if a 2nd card is in the works as a future inexpensive upgrade (highly recommended), I'd go with a quality 850 watter.
