Any Suggestions On Improvements For This Build?

So this is my first time building a computer but I have friends who have done so and are willing to help me. My real question is that does anybody have any suggestions on different parts or other components I should consider?

I've got the fan listed so I can remember it and purchase it as it is said to be one of the quietest fans around. I want to be able to play games at a high quality, possibly on a 1440p monitor if I have the cash for it! I would prefer it being quiet for running idle but I'm not fussed about when it's being used as I will have headphones on.

All comments & criticisms will be helpful!

ok, so i built you a gaming computer for the same price, but it has faster ram, a gtx 780 which you will need to run games at 1440p, and has a better psu. it is an amd based build, but you can just change the cpu/mobo to intel if you really want to.

1. 8 GB of RAM will be enough for gaming only, that's if you're gaming only
2. There are quieter cooler out there
3. Cheaper PSU, but higher quality

Thanks, I think I'll stick with intel and have a look at another motherboard, but I've adjusted the GPU to what you've said. I was thinking of 16gb of ram so there isn't any need to update it in the future and I can use it in a future build, or should I drop to 8gb but slightly faster? And also are there any ways that you can tell which is a better CPU cooler or is it just down to reviews you read and what other people suggest? Thanks for the help though!

both of these builds are great, but Idontunderstands build has a slightly better cpu but mine has a better gpu. so, if you are wanting to play games like bf3/4, CoD ghosts, crysis 3, etc get the one i built. but if you want to play games like gta 4/5, minecraft, then go with Idontunderstands build.

Thanks both of you, I'll probably do a mix of them all tbh! But glad to have some re-assurance I'm not missing something blatant and all of the parts are good. Thanks guys!
