Triple monitor 1 1440p 2 1080p?

Would it be possible to game with 3 monitors having the middle one 1440p? For example if I was playing Skyrim would the view be the same a the 1080s or would it extend my view? I don't want to downscale to 1080p, also could I run the 1440p off a separate gpu or would it have to be sli? Would be running dual r9 290s.

In order to have triple monitors the middle screen (1440p) will have it's resolution put down to 1080p to match the other two.

Yeah that, as well as the fact that it will look extremely odd, try getting all the same displays, unless you plan to game on only one and use the other 2 for productivity.

I'd say go for 1 1440p for gaming then 2 1080 for productivity as maxiim said. That's what my upgrade is going to be

try triple monitor. I went back to one monitor at the weekend and felt I was blinkered. Got slaughtered in BF4! Triple is awesome, fills your field of view and peripheral vision.
