So I am building a computer and I really want it to play high-end games. The thing is that I don't really know if this rig is good enough for the games nowadays. I would preferably want to run games @ 60fps at max settings but medium settings @ 60fps or max settings @ 30fps is fine.

Computer Specs:

Case: APEVIA X-DREAMER4
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LK
Video Card: GIGABYTE GV-N760OC-2GD REV2.0 GeForce GTX 760 2GB
Processor: i7-3770K
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
HDD: WD RE3 WD1002FBYS
Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM
Network Card: Esky 300Mbps 300m 802.11 n/g/b (Dual Band)
(I don't have the power supply yet and everything is stock cooling)

That build will be perfectly fine.
I was thinking between the 760 and 770 and I have no regrets going with the 770 if you have the ability

anyways great build
Happy Gaming XD

Yes, this is a solid build. Depending on the game/games you play, it will play high end games with very good frame rates. Don't go cheap on your power supply. A bad power supply can fry your whole set up.

Question, is there a reason why your building with an older ivy bridge cpu over Haswell?

It's just because I want a 3770k. The 3770k is a really good processor at an affordable price. I don't really care about all that extra stuff like connectors (it does matter though), this is just a computer for a while it won't be my final rig (no I am not rich).

Okay i was just wondering. For a few bucks more you can get a Haswell and at stock they are faster CPU's. And since your building a new rig, it does not make sense to start with a generation older CPU. Either way, your rig will suite you fine for years. Happy building.
