Fans turn on, nothing displays.

Just built my brand new PC. Here are the parts. there is no dedicated video card.

i5-4570 w/ stock fan
ASRock h87m
G. Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB)
A-Data Premier Pro SP900 SSD
Corsair CX430 PSU
ASUS DVD-RW SATA drive

I double checked all the connections and they are all good. I get no POST beep even while wearing headphones. I turn the button on and the fans turn on for a brief second, then it repeats a second time, and finally the fans turn on for a while but I get no display on the monitor. Eventually the system turns off for a second and then the fans turn on again for a while. I'm confident my monitor works after checking with my laptop through HDMI. Please help.

Hard reset BIOS, test each module individually to see if you can boot with one. If not, it may be a defective motherboard. Do you have any other DDR3 RAM to test with? Though it is unlikely that both memory modules are completely dead.
