Hello guys I was wondering if I will need to overclock the 4770k to run games such as BF4 in ultra high settings with my intended build. If I don't overclock what kind of FPS and settings would I expect to get in 1080p?

Here is the build:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($312.99 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($97.16 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($179.79 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($169.00 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($88.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Video Card ($709.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master Storm Trooper ATX Full Tower Case ($162.81 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: Corsair RM 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($145.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $2061.66

You input is highly appreciated!

If you get a chip that handles OC well (it's a silicon lottery) and if you were to OC to, let's say 4.2 - 4.4GHz you would see maybe 5 - 6FPS on a full server in intense fighting (everyone around you, everything "going off" simultaneously).

Even though BF4 is a CPU intensive game FPS still largely comes down to GPU and right now you can't beat a GTX 780Ti.

P.S. You may want to read up on what people are saying about Win 8 and 8.1 for gaming PC's. I'd recommend Win 7 (and remember to turn off "Aero" ;) )

There is no need for a GTX 780Ti unless you are gaming on 3+ monitors AND video editing. If it is a single 1920x1080p display, you can run ultra with an EVGA GTX 770 w/ ACX Cooler. Also, and i7 has absolutely no benefits over an i5-4670k in gaming, as games don't utilize more than 2-4 cores. Then overclock the i5 to ~3.7 GHz and you can play ultra settings with 50+ FPS.
