Go with a good SSD drive instead of a standard HDD. The difference in performance is absolutely INSANE! With any system, the performance “bottleneck” is almost always in the I/O. This is solved by having a solid SSD. The two best models available right now are the Samsung 840 EVO or the Samsung 840 Pro. The Pro is slightly faster (and slightly more expensive). You'll ask, “Is it worth the extra money to go with an SSD?” My answer, “UNDOUBTEDLY YES!” Below is a link to Amazon.com with the drives:

Second: Go with some better/faster RAM. If you're going to overclock the CPU (and I'm sure you will since you're paying extra for the "k" overclock capable CPU), certainly you will OC the RAM as well. Something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Desktop-Memory-CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9/dp/B004CRSM52/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394933466&sr=1-2&keywords=Vengeance+1866

A good quality PSU is important as well. This is a PSU that will give you the wattage you need to power what you have already, plus will give you the option to expand later down the road should you desire. Best to spend a little extra now and not have to spend a lot extra later:

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-80PLUS-Gold-Certified-Power-Supply/dp/B00EB7UITQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394933519&sr=1-1&keywords=rm750+corsair

For solid cooling that will allow you to overclock quite extensively:

Below, I have enclosed Tom's Guide to building a good gaming PC. It will be useful.

Any questions or comments?

tnx a bunch sir. i will keep that in mind.

1500.00 is a healthy budget. You can build a VERY nice PC for that. Is there any reason that you went with an older CPU? The i5-4670k is the current model available. You would have to change the type motherboard as well to an LGA 1150. More than likely they make the same motherboard that you chosen, only with the LGA 1150 socket.

Below I enclosed a link on building a PC. If you're newer at this, this will help. :)

This leaves room in the budget for a keyboard and mouse. With this and a moderate overclock (well within capability of both cpu and cooler) you'll be able to play just about anything on very high at minimum, ultimate on most games.

ok sir. i think i will consider the i5-4670k and also the 2 storage will not bottleneck my system. tnx sir.

Can't say I agree with 1600Mhz RAM. And it's 1.6v too?

bah, that's the 2nd time I've done that, there are 2 kinds of the ram, 1 is 1.6v, the other 1.5v.

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($73.95 @ Newegg)

its CAS8 ram, faster than the 1866 you posted. Also intel cpu's are native 1333/1600 MHz internal clocks, so 1600MHz ram tends to keep to a nice 1:1 ratio. AMD however runs 1333/1600/1866MHz internal clocks so yes, I prefer to use 1866 there over the 'proscribed you need no more than' 1600. Works especially well in apu's since the onboard gpu uses system memory. huge difference in framerates between 1866 and 1600. OC the ram won't do a thing really for his gaming, but if OP is running a lot of cpu intensive stuff like rendering, autocad etc, then I'd say yes, faster ram would help, has the cooling capability with that x40 all day, but I'd also go with 16Gb not 8Gb.

ideally I would have chosen the CAs7 Corsair Vengence, even matches the colors better, but at $115, felt it wasn't worth it.
