So I am interested in these two cards (specifically gigabytes windforce), and am wondering which will be for me. I'm interested in playing graphic intensive games, like BF4 (I am aware CPU does take play in this game). I essentially just want a "future proof" card, for example down the track in two years, let's say BF5 or Crysis 4 comes out I want to still play it at a decent fps and quality in graphics (I do know this could be risky to assume a card could handle games in 2 years).
I will definitely go SLI when I need and/or want it, so please consider that.

Just as a note do you have any tips on which brand or the amount or VRAM to go with?

Thanks, Macedac

2 GTX 770s should last you a couple years but if you have a lot of money to spend go with the 780 ti.

I would go with the 4GB version and the brand of reference cooler is all up to you because they are all very similar.

If he has money he can go with Titan Black with 6GB VRAM, but he talks about 780ti, while 780ti has only 3GB option and not 4GB!

I am aware but it'd be a thing of going for the 4GB slightly slower GTX 770 or the 3GB 780ti

Most games don't utilize more than 2GB on 1080p except highly modded Skyrim so 3GB on GTX-780 more than enough for all modern games!

I'm glad you said that since that is one of the things I wanted to do.
So you think a EVGA Classified 780 would do great, and even if I was willing to save the more money it wouldn't be worthwhile?

I'm going to go with the EVGA Classified 780

Thanks Heaps!
