For gaming I'd use windows 7. That's what I personally use. I tried installing windows 8 few days ago but some games didn't run smooth and gave me real bad FPS. So I switched back to Win 7 and everything is fine now..

Windows 8 is less demanding of the system so theoretically it should run faster that being said..
I run windows 7, and i love it.. its so fast and very easy to understand and runs any game
windows 8 still has trouble running some games..
so i suggest windows 7
hope this helps!

should i get the windows 7 starter or the pro 32/64bit? in my country the pro is 3times the cost of the starter. and windows 7starter+ win8pro FPP is 2times as much as the windows 7starter.

Windows 7 starter doesn't have all the features.. better to get home premium... Pro is better of course but again its pricey... So, if home premium is available then get that..

If you have 4 gb or more RAM then get 64 bit version... 32 bit version can't use more than 3 gb of ram.
