Here are the components I am thinking about for my first build and I had a few questions since I am new to building a pc.

1. Do I need an aftermarket cpu cooler for this build? From what I have read people only suggest you need one if you are going to oc, which I'm not going to so I wanted to check on that.
2. Is there anything that someone more experienced can tell would be a problem with this builld?
3. Also is there anyway I could cut the price down a little bit without losing any performance?

Thanks for any help you can give.

You do not need an aftermarket cooler as you cannot overclock that CPU.

I would get a 2x4gb RAM kit as dual channel RAM is always faster than a single stick.

For gaming at low settings at 1080p, this will be fine.

You can go with this, will get you High at 1080p in most games, and medium at least in the rest:
