32 gb RAM . what is this man . . why you need that much

After watching this video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haP2aT_kpJo This guy was using almost 30gb when editing his DLSR footage. So I figured I'm doing the same thing, I should get 32gbs as well.

With a budget of $1800 assuming. This performs better 32gbs of ram will be unused and be a waste of money as well.

That's FractalDesignCore I was concerned I would be bottle necking my system. Media apps like After Effects tend to eat a lot of RAM, I've seen performance figures using over 29gb. Is 16gb going to be enough?

yes 16 gb is enough . .

RAM cant ever bottleneck a system unless its slow... 16gbs is enough. I barely use all 8gb in my system when using those programs.

Do you think I would better benefit using a 2nd SSD as a render drive?

not so much . a single SSD will do the work for you . can buy more if space gone filled
