Attractive size... now if only we could get a 550w SFX psu!(especially one that didn't sound like a hurricane.)[even if it had to be watercooled, it would still be of interest to a lot of us sff specialists.]

That's what I'm hoping for, but they have other OEMs in the Strider line as well. The Strider Gold series is all done by Enhance. Will the Essentail Gold also fall to them?

High Power (a.k.a. Sirtec or Sirfa) was used exclusively for all of the previous models of the SilverStone Strider Essential Series. The new BRONZE efficiency models (i.e. ST60F-ESB and ST70F-ESB) in this series are still being made by Sirtec.

You're talking about the Strider Gold S which is a completely different series than the Strider Essential Series mentioned in this article.

I know this was talking about the Strider Essential Gold line. I'm saying the Strider Gold line ( sans "Essential" ) was made by Enhance, while the Strider Essential ( sans "Gold" ) was completely Sirtec. Saying FSP was making the new product line when two other OEMs made the "parent" lines had me wondering, especially when the picture in the article doesn't have the Aurum's signature hexagonal grill and arrow mesh.

"the Aurum's signature hexagonal grill" is an FSP trademark. Why would SilverStone infringe on that trademark or pay a licensing fee for the use of it when it has no functional advantage?

SilverStone, as FSP's customer, can specify whatever they want for appearance of the PSU shell as well as the components quality. All of XFX's PSUs are made by Seasonic but they all don't look like Seasonic units.

EVGA's Nex650G and Nex750G are made by FSP and are based on the FSP AURUM platform. They don't look anything like the equivalent FSP model.

I'm more interested in upcoming SFX designs. There is already enough competition in the ATX designs and as small computers become more common, the demand for smaller power supplies will continue to rise.
