I received the following message:
"We've noticed that the question you asked at Tom's Hardware received a reply, but a Best Answer hasn't been selected yet. "

Problem is however, I did NOT get a reply.

Huh. That's a first. That is expressly and specifically the URL referenced in the private message you received?

As of now, he's only started two threads - this one and that. No multi-accounts either.

Does the private message indicate whom replied to your thread? Additionally, did you receive an email notification of the same?

It was a private message entitled:
Stumper question? Do I break raid 1 mirrors before upgradeing from XP to W7? and the author was 'tomshardware'.

Ahh, that's not a response. That's an automatic private message that results when your thread has received no answers. That's why we call them "stumper questions", because it looks like the community is stumped when it comes to answering that inquiry.

Though, for what it's worth, our site search or Google might be instructive. That sounds like an issue that was likely encountered before at some point.

I can't believe that nobody here has an answer to this question.

It's certainly unusual. I'd offer to help, but I don't know too much about RAID setups. You might have better luck posting to our Storage section though, instead of Windows 7. It's worth a shot.
