CPU Bottlenecking my system?

I want to upgrade my gaming/video editing rig (more gaming than editing). I did a large upgrade last year, but didn't upgrade the CPU. I have noticed performance issues while playing games that I don't perceive to be that taxing. FPS dropped below 30 while playing FF14 maxed out. I assume my CPU is the bottleneck, but I was hoping for some opinions. I've also considered upgrading to 2x GPU's in SLI. If I go the CPU route, should I stick to Intel's 3xxx Gen or upgrade my mobo too and go with the newer generation of Intel CPU?

Intel Core i5 2400 3.1 GHz
ASRock Z77 Exreme6
16gb Corsair DDR3
GTX 670 2gb
WD 500gb HDD
OCZ 750W

Did you turn SLI on in the video driver?

I'm not sure if you're being snarky or not. I don't have two GPUs yet, just been considering that as an upgrade instead of upgrading my CPU.

Oh sorry thought you had them. Since you don't then the SLI route will give you more FPS then a CPU upgrade.

Ah ok! Thanks for clarifying. I guess I should really just use a utility to figure out if my CPU is getting maxed out. I just have upgrade fever since the new generation of Intel processors came out...
