it is very obvious that the 780 will perform better then the 770 and the 770 better than the 760
but my question here is that will a gtx 760 do for a 1080p single monitor?
will i get significant boosts in performance by using a better gpu?
is it worth the money or is it simply overkill?

im in a dilemma between the amd fx 8320 and the intel i5 4670k

if it means getting a 770 over a 760, get the FX 8320.

That's not a bad spot to be in. Personally, I'd go for the Intel solution at this point in time because the Intel architecture seems to offer consistently better gaming performance, though AMD is making some strides now that more games are being built to use the power of many CPU cores.

alright what would you call new monitor and how much extra will i have to spend on a new one?
from what ive learnt is that there are 3 main things to look for in a monitor:
1. Resolution
2. Refresh rate
3. Response time

so the one ive chosen has 1920*1080 res, 76hz refresh rate and 2ms g2g response time

what would you suggest to enhance my gaming experience with my current build?

cpu- amd fx 8320 or intel i5 4670k
mobo- msi 990 fx or msi z 87 depending on what cpu i choose
gpu- nvidia msi gtx 770 twin frozer

i guess a 1080p monitor will do for this
what do you suggest?

nothing that monitor is great still.

very good point, but at the same time, im perfectly happy with 1366 x 768 on my 32" monitor (call me crazy lol) but its quality enough for me

Haha, yes, I'm absolutely calling you crazy. xP

If you're at any distance remotely coming close to a 'standard' distance for a computer monitor, I would consider that to be bloody horrible - the pixels would be completely distinct and noticeably distracting.

yeah I can see the pixels up close, but the EDID is totally botched on my HDTV (32" E series VIZIO) so the 720p on VGA looks 10x better than 1080 on the HDMI. When I really need graphics, I switch to the 23" Acer 1680 x 1050
