To sli or not to sli

Hello,
so im building a new gaming rig and i want to get the best GPU setup i can get for the amount of money i can spend. So at this moment im looking at a Asus AMD R9 290 4GB or Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce or SLI Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 WindForce (OC). So which of these options is best for my needs, and why?
Games i want to play, Planetside 2, Arma 3, Battlefield 4, (Titanfall), Star Citizen.

Get one powerful card instead of SLI configuration. SLI scales poorly for the 3rd and 4th cards, so if you have a single card, you can add another later; but have 2 cards, then adding a third will not result in much gain in performance.
