And what exactly would i need to start my Bike Training? :D

This doesn't belong on TomsHardware, this is a Tech forum, A moderator will most likely remove this.

As a motorcycle riding Mod I'm going to allow this, is that a problem?

Are you trying to intimidate me, I'm purely saying that this shouldn't be on a Tech forum and have every right to do so.

This sub forum is for general UK and Ireland discussions so who are you to be telling people what subjects they can post here? As a forum user you do not have the right to tell people what they can and cannot post, that's reserved for Mods and Admin.

I know I can't tell people what they can and can't post, I was saying that a mod might delete this considering the website is "tomsHardware The authority on tech"

The theory test is probably the hardest part but when I took my test I didn't have to do that back then and I had been riding bicycles and little 100cc bikes for years before I was old enough to take the test.

Ohhh, Ill get the theory test up, and have a look but nicee :D

And there are other non tech sub forums in addition to this one.

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-65.html

www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-54.html

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-64.html

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-64.html

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-67.html

And as this sub forum is called "General UK & Ireland Discussions" why do threads have to be tech related?

I must have been mistaken by the name "Authority on tech"

If this had been posted in CPU's or Graphics and Displays then I would agree with you but as it wasn't I have to assume that you don't understand what the words "General" and "discussion" mean.

I'm guessing you haven't seen the other forums then? And if you are not going to help the OP out then stop moaning and move on please.

I come here for tech and tech only so I don't bother with other forums, I'm not moaning, I completely agree with you although I personally think tomsHardware should be tech only considering the title, although I'm not going to be visiting the other forums.

Going back to the original post, I don't think it would be a good idea to turn up for the practical test on a modded bike so don't go too over the top in milking every ounce of power out of a 50cc.

I failed my first car driving test fifty years ago and always blamed the state of the car I turned up in. It was a bit of a wreck but it was all I could afford. A month later, in a BSM driving school car, I sailed through. The examiners can't help prejudging candidates on the vehicle they use.

Back when I took my test I couldn't afford a 125cc bike to take the road test on so I fitted a 65cc big bore kit to my moped as all you needed back then was a bike that was over 51cc for it to be classed as a motorbike and not a moped.
I think the rule about taking tests on a moped still apply but I'm not 100% sure about that.

I took a second look at the OP's suggestion of a 50cc maximum but couldn't be sure he was right about that. I thought it was higher back in the day but I only ever scrambled bikes so I never took a test.[
