Hi All,

I am planning on purchasing a PC from iBuyPower. I am not interested in building myself. I will primarily be using it for MMO/FPS gaming and streaming and will hook it up to my TV. This one costs $830 and I am looking to stay around $800. I am a bit concerned about the iBuyPower 'standard' HDD but the only other option is a WD VelociRaptor which is too expensive. Is this a solid build? Also, Is a 500w power supply sufficient for this build? Thank you!

a few notes, if you have an equally priced system with an intel i5 option, I would go that route

The asus mobo you have selected is not really well suited for the high power draw fx processors that are listed as compatible.

What type of liquid cooling system are they talking about? Fx processors tend to run hot and many air coolers may actually perform better than a low cost aio unit

a 500w power supply is sufficient for the build mentioned above.

The best similar build with an i5 I can get from them is out of my price range at $950. I think I will stick with the FX 8320.

I chose the Asus motherboard based on other recommendations I read on the forums. What would you suggest instead?

I am not sure what the liquid cooling system is. The upgrade options are:

Asetek 550LC Liquid CPU Cooling System (AMD) +$19
Corsair Hydro Series H55 Liquid CPU Cooling System +$16
Corsair Hydro Series H60 Liquid CPU Cooling System +$34

Are any of these worth the upgrade? Alternatively I could 'downgrade' to a "Certified CPU Fan and Heatsink."

Thank you

what motherboard options do you have? I stated that the asus motherboard wasn't a good choice because it only has a 4+2 VRM section, the voltage regulation may not be up to task with the demands of that power hungry FX processor.

My other choice in my price range is Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P

Well it seems that you are limited to two MOBOs that have the same limitation. Of the two I would go with the ASUS but I don't think you should try overclocking on that motherboard.
