I'm looking to get a good gaming PC, but I honestly have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I know a little bit when it comes to GPU's, but I don't know what to do for the rest.

I threw this together using a video on Youtube, and changed a couple of things in the process. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3gxAB (It probably sucks. XD)

I have a feeling that I'm paying too much for a CPU and not enough for the GPU. I'd like to stay within the 1000-1500 range, but I'm open to higher if it's worth it.

I guess my main questions are
Am I paying too much for the CPU?
How good of a motherboard is what I've chosen? (Grammar senses tingling...)
Is it better to get 16 GB of RAM instead of 8?
Is the hard drive too cheap for the size?
Can anybody vouch for the GPU? Or should I go higher? (Alright maybe I don't know as much as I think I do...)
Is it even worth it to get a PC at this time now that a new Nvidia GPU has been announced?

Hopefully someone can understand my post. lol
