this is a very late reply but im gonna sell my xx board for its value is about 100-200 then im gonna but an amd fx 6100 and 4 mor gb ram for my amd platform think this will make a good gaming computer?

Amd Fx 6100
biostar a960g+ Motherboard
Nvidia geforce 650 Ti Zotac
8gb ddr3 1600mhz
it will run ANY game i throw at it right?

Why the old FX-6100 instead of the better FX-6300? Because you get a great deal on it? Unless you are limited to a micro-ATX motherboard, that motherboard is not a good choice. Will you buy a DDR3 memory kit (2x4GB)? Your old motherboard uses DDR2 memory.

You "may" get $100 for your old motherboard and CPU, but since newer systems are close to that price, that is probably the top price you will be able to find. Keep in mind that unless it's a super bargain, anyone that is looking to get a CPU and motherboard knows what they are doing and would rather get a new setup for a bit more. You may be able to sell your old mobo and CPU for $60 pretty quick, anything over that will be a tough sell.

FX 6300 is a better pick than the 6100.

You can run any games with an FX 6300 and a 650 Ti, at last on about medium settings, maybe some you would want on lower to get to smooth play rates.
