Monitor picking up signal from PS3, but no image is displayed.

Hello. As I stated in the title, my monitor,an ASUS MX279H, isn't displaying any images from my PS3, but it is clearly receiving a signal as it'll switch to the proper channel when I turn it on. I've tried in both hdmi ports with two different cables and the same thing happens. My desktop PC uses the cables and ports just fine. It's most likely an issue with the monitor, as I've had the console worked on, and it works just fine (with the aforementioned cables) on the repairman's TV he uses for testing. Any advice?

Also, it worked just fine with this monitor up until last Saturday.

I forgot to mention that I'd already tried the Video menu and Recovery menu long before I ever got it worked on. Anyway, I tried most of those things and none of 'em work. I also don't think the AV settings thing would help, as it worked just fine on the repairman's TV with HDMI

Hi there.

I had the same problem with my MX279 and my PlayStation 3.

I solved the problem with this steps:

1) connect the hdmi cable to ps3 and monitor
2) Keep press the PS3 power button until the PS3 shutdown (his resets the video of the playstation 3).
3) Disconnect the power cable of the MONITOR (the power button didn't solved the problem)
4) Power on the PLayStation
5) Connect the power cable of the monitor
6) Power on the monitor
