Average RAM amount for mod creation?

Hey guys,
I recently built my first PC. I was really lucky and got an good deal on the RAM, and ended up with a 16GB set (8 x2) for like $25 more than the 8GB set with the same specs. I was wondering for you modders out there, how much RAM do you have and what do you consider an appropriate amount for say, creating mods for Skyrim? Also, any general advice for getting into modding as a newbie is very much appreciated.

16GB is pretty much as high as you are going to be able to use. You can buy 64GB but your computer will only use 16GB so you should be fine with just 16GB
