Hi everyone!
I am fairly new to the forums, so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong area.
Anyways, I am building a computer and was going to get a 1TB Samsung 840 Evo SSD. My friend said that wouldn't make sense as ssd's die from a lot of read and write. So I am wondering is it better to go with a 1TB SSD to store everything on or go with a SSD to have the OS on and 2 1TB HDDs in raid 0? Please give me the pros and cons of each. Thanks!

It will take you years to wear out your SSD. A 1tb SSD is really expensive and a bit overkill.
HDD pros
-Cheaper
-Won't wear down
SSD pros
-boot computer faster
-basically faster in every aspect.

I don't think you should worry about your SSD breaking. You could always add extra hdds later, or go with a 500gb ssd and 1tb HDD.
What are you using this PC for? If you are just gaming then 1tb SSD is more than enough.
If you have an unlimited budget I would go with the SSD, but a 1TB SSD would set you back £360+ Where as a 2tb HDD you could buy for £60. Why not get the best of both worlds?
