trouble finding i3 serial number

so, the CPU is already installed along with the stock cooler (the top side of the CPU completely covered with the thermal paste). How do I get the S/N now?
in the box, the SN is written as MC33XXXXXXXXX while the website demands XXXX-XXXXXXXX format. what shoudl I do? thanks

Have you tried just putting a dash in between the first 4 characters?

If the box serial # does not line up to the site, you will need to look at the CPU housing. You can't get the info from software.

The serial number in the box has 13 characters, while the website expects 12 characters. thanks
