Computer manufacturer / hardware reviews?

Hey guys

I was thinking, do you guys think it is a bit "wrong" for a computer company, fx let's say Alienware, if they started doing benchmarking/reviewing all hardware. Do you fear that people would think their charts and findings were biased and wrong?

Take them with a grain of salt. You can use it for comparison but they are trying to sell and will not use unfavourable results.

Hardware manufacturers will always be biased.

alienware = dell. with that said i wouldnt trust anything they say. in general i wouldnt trust one word out of any system manufacturers mouth or hardware manufacturers mouth for that matter. we cannot trust them to tell the truth sadly even if they are.

the only source i would trust are sources which are not paid off and which do not benefit in any way from benchmarking. anandtech has great benchmarks and toms brings some to the table as well.
