This is my first build and generally my first legitimate PC! With fairly extensive research, I feel as if this rig would fit my needs; please let me know if i'm wrong! Keep in mind that the actual case I'm ordering is the ENERMAX COENUS, and the case lights are red led. This is almost a pure gaming rig, but I will be partaking in all other mundane tasks with it as well. I'm open to suggestions along the line of an intel cpu and lesser gpu... If I get an AMD chip, i WILL be overclocking; I chose the mobo with this in mind.

Please note that that I am starting from scratch, and these parts absolutely maximize my budget. Can I downgrade to an fx6300 with this build? Will my motherboard support future AMD chips?

Thanks for any future constructive input!

Thanks a bunch; I will definitely consider that! How do you feel about moving down to a gtx 760 and getting a nice liquid cooler for the 8320- or maybe the 8350? That way I would have some leftover for games. (I have quite a few on steam already, though)

i would stick with 770 since all games are becoming more and more demanding! also if you consinder overclocking 8320 would be a better option, since that way you can gain the extra performance 8350 can offer. if o/c wont be at your plans get 8350! the cm cooler is quite capable!

I will do that; now if I decide to oc my GPU/CPU in the future, or even go sli, will a high quality 650w PSU cover it? or should I go for a mediocre 750w?

as a power hungy gpu 770 for sli ,850w is recommended! though i dont recommend multi gpu configurations due to microstuttering issues that are inevitable. the 650w xfx i recommend can easily ran a single 780ti and still be able to o/c!

I absolutely love them. I would never buy another type of case fan.

The i5-4670K just gets you the same or better performance as an overclocked 8350/20. It destroys the AMD CPU once overclocked (which you can do later if you ever want to). The Extreme4 Motherboard also allows you to SLI later, if you wanted to. You would need a PSU upgrade however.

The quote is totally applicable! And I'd like to purchase it all on newegg (shop runner), so that bumps the price up a tad bit; I have tried numerous times to fit the 4670k with the 770 in this build, but I always have to take shortcuts and I want this machine to be solid! But thanks for the advice!

no problem, you are welcome!
