Hi folks, I am building a PC for gaming and video editing and I would like your input. I have never built a PC before in my life, and I have been using mac OS X for the past 6 years.

After doing some research, I decided to choose this configuration: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3eu3A

This is a base configuration, but I might wait a month to get the GTX card, as (from what i'm been told) the computer will still be able to produce graphics from the processor. I am planning on expanding the RAM, hard drives and possibly run SLI with two cards when the card I choose to buy becomes outdated-Of course, this will all be done later, as I don't have the money to do it all at once. I will be using a tv that I already have for the monitor as for right now I can't afford a PC monitor. It is a 60hz 32' 1080p sharp tv. I am planning to connect it with HDMI.

If I am missing anything/you have any suggestions, please let me know. I am not very good with computer "parts" or whatnot.

Thanks.

For video editing, you'll want 16GB of RAM, and the dual-channel set will help tremendously (not really for gaming, though). Also, the TR2 series of power supplies are not very good at all. This is plenty powerful for SLI in the future, and is a top-rated PSU. You'll get High/Ultra at 50+ fps with this setup, easy :)
