Hi, I am new to this Forum so i apologize if i have posted this in the wrong place. I plan on giving my old Media Rig to a friend it consists of:
AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz Socket AM3
Patriot Dual Channel Viper 4096MB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB)
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Socket AM3+ DVI HDMI 8-Channel HD Audio Motherboard
500gb Seagate 7200RPM
400w corsair PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
The idea is that he wants to be able to play a few games. So we are looking at teaming a
MSI GeForce GTX 750Ti OC 2048MB GDDR5. Would this rig bottleneck this card or be just about rite? Also what kind of frame rates could he expect in some of the more common title's. I ask this as i do not really keep up to date with the current hardware market.
In short is he wasting his money or would he be getting a relatively good machine to play some of the later titles on.
