unallocated Hard drive

I have a 3tb hard drive as my second hard drive. But im having a problem with it it says i have 2k TB of it thats allocated. The theres 746.52 tn that is unallocated idk how to make it allocated :( when i click on it all it gives me is proportys and help witch dosnt really help me much
 
You're hitting the 2TB partition limit for MBR partitions. To have Windows recognize more, you would need to switch to a GPT partition. If you don't have any data on that 3TB hard drive, it should be easy enough.

Go to windows disk management(if it's windows 7 just type disk management in start)
There you should find a schematic of your current hard drive status.
What you can do is rightclick the unallocated part, and select new simple volume, follow the instructions from there.
This will create a new partition and allow you to use the space.
Another thing yo can do is extend another partition with the unallocated space.(by right clicking an existing partition)
