2 cpu fans airflow direction

hi,
i would like to know if i want to use 2 CPU fans on 1 heatsink and they face each other how should the air flow thru the fans.both fans the same direction so one blows and the other pulls the air.or both should blow the air into the heatsink and the air goes away sideways,thanks for the reply
