Yes, the H212 EVO should be enough to cool your CPU. I have used this cooler before and it lowers temperatures about 20-30 degrees at times. Be sure it fits in your case though, as it is a very big cooler. Another thing is your motherboard. I don't know what board you are running. Make sure you have the higher end chipsets on you mother board (for example X58), as well as MOFSET/VRM cooling. These have a tendency to explode/catch fire when you OC, so be wary. (MOFSET/VRM's are located between the I/O shield and the CPU socket) if you don't have these heatsinks, try running Prime95 for a while. Touch that area, and if it is burning hot than don't overclock. Most likely you will be fine though. Good airflow and fan placement can also help with a successful overclock

There are people using them on mildly clocked 4930k's. I would say you will be fine using one.

I he is running the i7 930 CPU then he most definitely running the X58 Chipset. Only one to come out for that Socket.
