I am putting together an Ivy-Bridge E (i7-4820k) build with quad channel memory. I have already purchased samsung's new 28 inch 4K monitor (U28D590D) and I am wondering if I would see a FPS boost by requirement creeping from 16GB (4x4GB) to 32GB(4x8GB) of system memory. Will demanding games ever saturate more than 16GB of memory on a 4K resolution?

Thanks so much for any info!

Your system DRAM has nothing to do with resolution, only loading and being used as a conduit for data, faster DRAM might gain you 2-4 FPS in gaming, but otherwise it's primarily your GPU and CPU
