I am confused about why this monitor is priced so differently on different websites. Samsung listed the computer to sell for $700. Amazon and Newegg have it priced above $800 and NCIXUS and other smaller website have it listed at below $600. I bought the monitor from NCIXUS for $599 and I am just a bit skeptical about the low price. Is there any chance the monitor is refurbished or used or defective?

ANY INFORMATION EXPLAINING THE PRICE DIFFERENCE WOULD BE MASSIVELY APPRECIATED

I got it on AmazonUK (preorder may 1st) for £480 Samsung advertised its RRP as $600. So that is about right. I would guess, much like the high demand for the AMD R9 290s when first released, prices were pushed up by demand.

I was under the impression it would be 599. But our buddy supply and demand says otherwise. I'm hoping it will drop down to expected prices when some more competitors enter the field.

This... OP, you can check on sites like ebuyer.

So I spoke to amazon yesterday as I was concerned that my monitor still had not been dispatched. They ensured me that it was a computer glitch, and the monitor was in fact on the way. So it's 4am here (I work nights) and I have just received this email (the monitor is due today)

"Hello,

We're still trying to obtain the following item you ordered on April 05 2014 (Order# 203-5306732-0674732).

"Samsung U28D590D 28 inch Ultra HDMI Monitor"

We're awaiting a revised estimate from our supplier, and will email you as soon as we receive this information.

If you'd prefer to cancel the item, please visit Your Account on the link below:"

Not very happy and no solid answer on when I can now expect it? A week, a month? Poor customer service on AmazonUK's part as they have clearly given an optimistic eta without any solid evidence they would actually have the product in stock by then.
