I downloaded bioshock infinite off of steam while it was on sale. The game started up fine on the first launch, after that....nothing. Every single time I try to launch it now, the game is minimized and an error comes up saying that the game encountered an error and needs to close. I have tried running it in windowed mode, disabling windows defender, turning off my firewall, disabling the steam overlay, and deleting and re-installing the game. I recently updated my graphics card from the Radeon 5770 to the Radeon Sapphire 7770 OC edition and I was extremely excited to play bioshock on it. Please help me resolve this issue. I have aslo tried verifying the game cache.

Did you reinstall the drivers when you swapped the gpu?

I did, I even have the 14.3 mantle beta from AMD. It was having this issue before I upgraded my GPU.

All i can come up with is do a fresh windows install. All dependencies should be installed automatically by steam.

I'd rather not reset my whole system for one game. I'll keep searching for a fix.

it might be a compatibility issue with your GPU drivers try rolling them back after a complete uninstall of the drivers. don't use the beta drives to many issues. ive had the same issue with many games from steam and beta drivers.

SOLVED!! I feel incredibly dumb. I went into properties under the .exe file of bioshock and unchecked run as admin. The game runs fine now. Thanks everybody for your feedback!
