Triple monitor, 1080p, R 290x cause of the memory or GTX 780ti

I have seen many suggestions in forums saying that with the 4gb of memory, a R 290x is better suited to triple monitors, but I have seen nothing in terms of reviews per se...

Is there a definitive answer?

If I go 290x, I would choose this PowerColor PCS+ for $569

I would give a few FPS to the GTX 780 Ti, however, over what you see in the review due to the new performance drivers released just today.

AMD generally has better performance for high resolution setups (wider memory bus and lots of VRAM). However if you plan on adding another GPU later NVidia might be a better choice because SLI is still superior to CF

I'm interested to know if that is still the case with PCIe crossfire? Do you have any links showing that's the case? Thanks

You know what... I am not so smart. For the life of me, I was looking for "triple" or "3" monitors...not realizing that 5760x1080 is what its called...

NOW I get it...Let me do some reading..
