Hi ,
I recently purchased a gigabyte g41m combo MOBO with CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 4gb corsair vengence ram ... Issue is that , when I place this ram on its specified slot and when I turn on the comp, it's keep on starting again and again ...and my display remains off... But when I use my old DDR 2 rams my comp statrs without a glitch .... Shopkeeper said it works since its works on dual Chanel MOBO with 1.5 vots ... I can't figure out what to do as I can't think of any possible solution ...

The Gigabyte G41M motherboard only supports DDR2-800 ram. The memory you just bought is DDR3 and is only compatible to motherboards that supports DDR3 memory. The shop keeper is really high and fed up when he sold you those components.

I have the G41 Combo - it DOES support DDR3 1333 (Overclocked). I purchased the same Corsair rig you have and installed single as well as double (2x4GB). Both worked for me. After installing first time the computer restarted and failed post a few times just like yours, I then power off and restarted it again and it works at memory 1066Mhz. I even overclock it to 1333 later.

Basic question but are you installing it in the White slot marked as DDR3 1? What CPU do you have?
