Where to get games for PC?

I was recently a console gamer that just made the switch to Pc gaming. I was tired of paying $60 for every new release, where in the end I'd have to throw it away anyway because of newer consoles not being backwards compatible. So long story short, I'm new to this sort of stuff and wanted to know some of the best websites like steam to buy games digitally for cheap, like BF4, Crysis 3, and Farcry3.

G2A.com, CJS-CDkeys.com,Gameholds.com and tons more of shop like that that sells game at up to half the price. Its legal also as they buy the games in europe which is surprisingly cheaper than the US,or any other countries. Got COD Ghosts for 30$,Battlefield 4 Premium 35$ and Titanfall 40$.

Steam is by far the best platform; they have the largest game library and big discounts are fairly common.

Do those sites like G2A and Gameholds actually work? Could someone explain the process that those sites use because it seems too good to be true.
