Hi guys/gals

I have this awesome opportunity to make my own case. I got a hold of this glass/acrylic box that would be perfect for a mini-atx build. The only problem is, I would like your input on the design and work that needs to be done. First of all, it needs to be somehow cut so that I can even put a motherboard etc inside. I am thinking of getting one of the sides cut, and make it work like a windowed panel in a regular case. Maybe hinged or something. I could use your input as to how to get at it. Any ideas and input would be appreciated. Thanks

can you take off the black part and use that as an opening? It would make the rest of your case look really clean. Also when you are done, you can set it up as an intake radiator (so the rest of the case is clean) and just have some vent holes/cuts to let the air exhaust.

The black, back part actually unscrews and comes apart very easily. Thanks for the tip. Any ideas as to how to go about cutting one of the sides to make something along the lines of a side of a case?

I'm absolutely NO expert on cutting or drilling, but I imagine you could use a dremel depending on its radius and the thickness of the box. But that would make a literal line which wouldn't be enough for airflow. You could make a thick slit where you can cut out a long rectangular shape. If not, then you can just drill holes for air flow and maybe put a clear fan or something.
