So I just overclocked my i5-3570k to 4.2Ghz, and I set the voltage offset to -0.065. In Prime95 right now the voltage is switching between 1.112V and 1.120V, do these numbers look ok? Also, the temperature has leveled out at around 59°C but I've only been running it for about half an hour now. I set the load line calibration(I think that's what it's called) to level 4.

Ok cool. Still running Prime95, after 8 hours it's not crashed yet and max temps went up a little to 63°.

Under 75*C. is excellent.

I'm guessing that Prime95 won't finish until tomorrow, when it does I'll try the Intel Burn Test set to maximum, see what temps I get.

Yea, tested it yesterday with 4.0 overclock and it got into the upper 70's I think

So apparently Windows Update thought it would be a good idea to restart my computer to install updates after I went to bed, so it didn't finish the last of 4 tests with Prime95. I think it's pretty stable, it made it through 13 hours with no crashes. Starting IBT now.

On standard setting in IBT, temps got to 66°C after 10 tests(finished fairly quickly) and voltage hit a max of 1.136V, on maximum it got through 9 of the 10 tests and on test 10 it said that Linpack binary stopped unexpectedly, does this mean it is unstable? Temps only got to 69°C on maximum

Yes, unfortunately, unstable. Add 0.015 v. to Vcore and try again.

I don't understand why you're using a negative offset. What MB do you have? What are the rest of your voltage settings?

My MB is and ASRock z77 extreme4. Everything else is on auto or enabled, except for power saving mode(disabled) and CPU load-line calibration(level 2). This time I only tested on maximum stress on IBT and it passed. Highest temp was 77°C and voltage stayed between 1.184V and 1.168V.
