Hello. My gaming PCs motherboard recently broke and I'm looking into buying a new mobo, CPU and ram. I have been looking at i7 4770k and 4930k, but I'm not sure whether to buy one now or to wait for new intel CPUs coming out in mid-2014. Will the new CPUs coming have a huge difference to 4770k and 4930k, and will it be worth the wait to buy one of the new CPUs?

I also read that some of the new CPUs will have support for DDR4, so should I wait for a CPU that can support DDR4 in the future?

If the "tick" or "tock" improvement for the newest Intel CPUs are anything like the minor improvements from SB to IB to HW, probably not. And DDR4 will expensive for quite awhile I imagine.

I guess it wouldn't be worth it to buy 4930k now, rather 4770k? If we are moving to DDR4 in 2 years or so.

It may depend on your main uses for the machine. For discrete-card gaming, I doubt you'll notice any difference in frame rate. Memory speed is one of the least important variables when it comes to gaming... assuming you are using fairly modern memory.
For memory intensive apps however, there may be some improvement. And for processors with on-die GPUs that rely on system memory, it would be a boon.

But for gaming alone, DDR3 vs DD4 would be one of the last items I would consider for upgrade decisions.

Alright. Do you think the 4930k is worth it over 4770k? I'm looking to buy a PC that can last around 3-4 years without upgrading nothing but the graphic card (I have a working GTX 670 atm which I'm going to use in the new PC until I need a new one)

If you can afford the 4930K, go for it. But if gaming is your main use, I doubt you'll see any difference.

But if you are into heavily threaded applications like video editing, you will see a major difference.
At the moment, Newegg has a $20 off deal on the either processor if you get their promo codes.

I'm buying them from Finland and think I'll go for the 4770k. 4930k is 230 euros more expensive here which is quite a difference and I'll use that to buy a 256gb SSD :)

That would be my preference as well.
