Hello:

First of all I want to thank the people from this community. For a long time I come to read looking for solutions, information or just a good read. Hope one day I can pay back.

What I want is a PC to do gaming mostly (Just blizzard games: wow, starcraft 2, diablo and hs) I don't care about ULTRA setting and high fps, just a good gaming experience. I'm just a casual media user. Light work (word, excell and ppoint) and my online classes.

I was thinking of buying a pre assembled computer (ibuypower or retail and adding gpu). A friend told me that is better if I buy the parts and assemble myself.

My budget is 800USD. I need monitor.

This was a recommendation from a friend:

Thank you very much.

Okay, just a couple questions. You need a monitor so you answered that already. Do you need an operating system, if yes do you want Windows 8, or Windows 7? Also, does the $800 include the budget for world, excel, and ppoint, or is that just for the computer?

Thank you very much for your answer.

I do need windows and which one is part of the guidance I need.
I don't need to buy MS Office from my budget, I get it from my office.

Thank you very much.
Any other information needed please let me know.

everything seems good but maybe you could save a bit on the speaker and get another 4gb ram or since you are still 20 below your budget, could still take another 4gb ram. because the pc could run almost all current game at medium to high and 8 gb has become quite important with games like bf4 could use up to 6gb ram. so you might never know when you would get into a 64-bit game later on.

Okay, just one more question on the monitor: Is there a particular size you want? Working on a Partpicker build for you now. Gonna try and squeeze as much performance out of the budget as possible (for better future-proofing).

I think you will be happy with that system that is put together for you but If you can find it in you budget, some how, I think you should get 8GB of ram and for performance get 2x4GB sick set. The 8 GB wont help with the multimedia or excel but will help a lot with gaming, Which you said was the main use for the PC. besides that it is a very solid build that someone recommended.

Yes, of course I can wait with the speakers.
Can you help me add the 4gb extra in ram.
What about the monitor, can I can afford maybe a 22 or 24 in with my budget.

The partpicker recommended by my friend is the best option with my budget?

Thank you again.

Okay, I tweaked your friend's partpicker a bit. I've got 3 different builds at 3 different prices here. The main problem was the video card, was trying to get you a much better card, because personally I feel the r7-260x is a bit underperforming, but that's just me, with that card I was able to keep the build at just under $800 with 8 GB of G.Skill Ripjaws X RAM, which is a better RAM than the Kingston, and the build also includes a 23" 1920x1080 monitor, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3qLrt - $793
If you want a better video card, here's the same build with a R9-270: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3qLfm - $845
If you want an even better video card than that, here's the same build again, but with an R9-270x: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3qLtz - $888

Figured I'd give you some options there. The R7-260x will run WoW, but I'm just not sure how well, and with a new xpac on the horizon, it's sure to be more demanding still, which is why I personally would go for one of the better video cards, but again, that's just me. You can do whatever you want, which is why I gave a couple options here.

Oh, and I removed the speakers from the build, as you said you can wait on those.

Thank you very much for all the answers.
I am very satisfied with your smart options, I like the build with the R9-270.

Ill go with that build, like I said, I'm a casual gamer. Work 60 hours a week, school and the wife...

THANK YOU.
