I want to upgrade from the PSP that I've had for the past 7 years, and am unsure whether I should get a PSVita or an nVidia Shield. I like the gaming capabilities of the Shield, but it is said to be "heavy and awkward to hold for long periods of time".

More about : shield

Just to make sure, you know that to have a Sheild, you need a PC with a Nvidia GPU in it, right?

Just making sure. Anyway, I would get a PSVida, because if you have a gaming PC, what is the point of having a Shield?

The Shield has more available games and more gaming power (and a longer battery life) It can also play Android games because it has KitKat OS. [edit] it has 5-touch support as well

It sounds like you like the Shield more than the PSVida. Get whatever you like the most.
