Whats your SSD top couple of tips? Since 99% of tech is out of date and no longer valid shortly after it seems it was created (so I keep finding out the hard way) I am curios to hear what are the very best top tips are from the pros and not "my rabbit reckons .." rules. (I use Pindon for those)
secretly I'm trying to get the top 10 list :)

  • ■ Use windows 7 or newer. Older don't have TRIM support so performance will degrade.
    ■ Don't defragment a SSD.
    ■ Buy a 250GB or bigger so you have enough room :D - I went for a 120GB cheap Samsung 840 when they were phasing to the EVO for like $80. I used 10% provisioning and only have around 100GB of disk space which doesn't go very far in terms of large games.
    ■ Realize if you buy an OEM version and try to install it into a full sized notebook or desktop, you will likely need to buy or have your own laptop spacer or desktop SATA cable and mounting bracket.
