New windows 7 for new MOBO

Do I need to purchase a new windows if I want to buy a new MOBO because I want to upgrade my PC but when I bought my PC it came installed automatically, no disk, nothing! So will I have to purchase a new Windows?

If you change the motherboard, Microsoft considers that a new PC and you will need a new license of Windows.

Are you planning to run the same HD? If so, simply make a good backup, then install the drive w/ the new mobo, chances are good it will configure itself to your new mobo, then update the drivers for the new mobo, and run a registry cleaner (Wise has a good free one). Win will let you know you have to reactivate, if you get an error call the number they provide and follow instructions....about 95% of the time they will provide a new activation code...if not will need to pick up a new copy.
