Hey all, I've been stuck with a very annoying issue for the last few days and I decided to come to you for a bit of help. My pc won't boot properly, I highly doubt the issue lies with the HDD, as I've tried a 100% functional HDD from my backup pc. The system boots up to bios, but no farther (with my original drive with win. 8) and actually seems to try to boot with my backup drive with win.7. It goes to the swirling microsoft icon, then freezes and bluescreens (still talking about the FUNCTIONAL win. 7 drive). I tried resetting the cmos by removing the battery, but that did no good, I also tried the ram sticks one by one, and they work fine. I even tried using my backup pc to supply power to the HDDs just to see if it was a psu problem. However, I'm totally stuck, any help would be very appreciated!

When you boot up Press F8 on and off to get the Advanced Boot Screen.

1) Try Safe mode and see if it boots. If it still fails then hit F8 again on the reboot

2) Now select Disable automatic restart on system failure. If it gives a BSOD give me the Stop Code at the bottom.
