My budget currently is $600 but I can up that if needed (but it will take more time). I'm using it for mainly gaming. I already bought the AMD A10-6800K processor when it was on a great sale, as well as a monitor, HDD and peripherals. I also plan on buying a Sapphire Radeon 7950 in the future. Since this is my first build, I don't have any experience with different brands or parts. Does anybody have suggestions for a good build?

Is that $600 extra? Or is that $600 supposed to cover everything including the parts already picked?

That's $600 not including the processor, hdd, etc. But like I said, I can plan a build that costs more but it'll take a couple months longer.

OK I'll consider that. That video card actually costs more than the 7950 currently does. How do they compare?

Also, I forgot to say I already have a copy of Windows 8 also.

The GTX 760 uses less power than the HD 7950. You only had a 450 watt PSU selected so I thought that a 7950 might need a little more power. The GTX 760 is the better of the two in most games but the HD 7950 does win in games that are AMD optimized like Tomb Raider for example.

Ok. Thanks.

Also, if I were to raise my budget to $1000, what would my options be? It would take a few months longer but it might be worth it.

Something like this for example: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3tWh3
