*I posted this on another forum before I saw this one and figured it was a better fit here and I'm really pretty desperate.*
I've been working for a company for the past several months building PC's used mostly in the medical field. I've probably built over 200 systems going from a pile of parts to a fully functional system. I recently got promoted to the tech department where I'll be troubleshooting and repairing RMA's and I'm hoping some of you can offer up some good books on the subject of repair and diagnostics. My degree is in Information Science and Technology so I have more experience with networking and information management but I've taken one or two courses involving hardware so I have above average knowledge of PC's but not enough to feel completely comfortable doing my new job right now. I know that within the next few months I'll be much better at PC repair but I'd like to get a jump start by reading up on it. I've had some positive experiences with Tom's Hardware and I know there's some extremely knowledgeable people here so I'm hoping some of you can suggest some decent books that will give me a good start in my new job. I'm trying to avoid the "Books for Dummies" stuff but if those are good I'd like to know.

this is what you want

www.amazon.com/gp/product/0789750007?ie=UTF8&at=&force-...

you can find it at libraries but as he puts out and updated version every year or two to cover new hardware they often don't have the most recent one

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for but I'd still appreciate any other suggestions.
