Gents:

My 4-yo 28" Hanns-G monitor had developed the reported symptoms of blown power-supply capacitors. The monitor would display splash-screens and then -- after a black-out -- begin a hard.to.stop flashing display. Flash on.&.on.& ....

The UTUBE prescription is to change-out the seven (7) power supply capacitors. Many successes are reported; a few failures are reported. With an eye for ancillary problems (burnt resistors etc) I have performed the capacitor replacement repair ( MOUSER caps ) only to find the monitor showing EXACTLY the same flashing-display behavior as before repair. The Hanns-G screen display was neither better nor worse after the cap replacement.

Worth noting that **none** of the seven power-supply caps I replaced appeared to be leaky or displayed BULGED tops. Yes I am now in the market for a new 16/10 monitor at least 24".
