Hello guys, Iam planning to build a gaming PC hopefully around next month, Im hoping to keep it under $1500, I already have a monitor from my previous PC(although it's a fairly low resolution 4:3 at 1280 x 1024) and leftover gear so Im planning to focus on the actual PC and gradually replace the other hardware later, here's the spec I've put together:

Case: Corsair Carbide 200R
PSU: Corsair CSM 650W Modular 80+ Gold
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L/USB3
Processor: AMD Vishera FX-8320
GPU: HIS R9 280X IceQ X2 3GB GDDR5
RAM: Patriot Viper3 8GB PC15000 Black PV3
HDD:WDC SATA III Caviar Black 2 TB(Im a bit of a file hoarder so I need the space)
Optical Drive: LG DVDRW Sata 24x

Im hoping for suggestion, especially for the case and PSU because I haven't done a lot of research on those two, and also what kind of performance can I expect out of this?

My second question is, would the GPU fit the case? I've searched the internet and the answers seem to be inconsistent, some says it does, some say it doesn't

And also please share some general advice when it comes to building a PC

Thank you
